Monday Mood Board : Finally Hot Summer

It is finally summer here :) We waited long enough ! But now it is lovely warm, dry and almost no wind. Ideal weather to spent on and along the water. Therefore, some lovely hot summer items from four of our European Street Team members on Etsy.

Monday Moodboard: Beach Weather

This weekend it was gorgeous warm and sunny weather here up in the north of Germany. We went to an art market and thereafter to the beach. It was still peaceful, no tourists yet, and little Peggy ran and played with some other dogs. So, from the spring mood of last week to a real summer beach mood; look at some summer beach finds from our European Street Team sellers on Etsy.

Tidbits : Garden and Brooding 3

A short update about the garden and the broody birds in it.
The swallow babies have grown enormously; we have the suspicion that they still stay near the nest at night. And we think that the parents prepare a second brood....


When we sat in our pavillion, we got a funny tiny visitor who was not afraid of us at all; she is called a goldcrest.

And the garden is finally attracting some butterflies; we have this year much less butterflies than last year.

And finally something that's not everyone's taste, a burying beetle (a cousin of the Egyptian scarabea); the burying beetle buries dead mice into the soil and lays its eggs on them, so that its kids have a nice welcome in this world.

Tidbits : A Sunny Schlei

Here some pictures of the sunny Schlei fjord yesterday and today taken from our boat. First the inland direction (direction Schleswig), with the railway bridge at Lindaunis open on the first picture.


Then two pictures in the other direction (the direction of Kappeln and the Baltic Sea).


And the last two; going back home with the boat again, with the Schlei bridge in Kappeln behind my hubby (with one of my caps...) and all the seagulls sitting along the coast.

Challenge : Summer

This week's EST (European Street Team on Etsy) challenge is: "summer" ! You can see the entries appearing on Nanouke's blogpost.

For me summer means lots of sun, beach and shells; I love to stroll on the beach and collect all kinds of shells. So I decided to do something with it for this challenge. I combined them with gorgeous mother of pearl buttons - also made from shells - and made this necklace out of it:

Tidbits : enjoyable evening !

I am so excited; yesterday evening a woman called me and said she had seen me at a market last year and was interested in one more bag. She asked me if she could come along that evening and bring two friends. Of course, they could come along ! It was an enjoyable evening; we chatted a lot and after looking, commenting and fitting everything, they bought four bags and one necklace !







It's so nice to give my creations a new home. And above that I have to make a large summer hat !
