I have always been inspired by traditional costumes, and the fareast is so mysterious and different from europe that I was always very much attracted to japanese, korean and chinese costumes. I love the japanese fashion designers as Miyake, Yamamoto, Kenzo and always admire what they do with clothing; it's so different from the european style ! Finally I managed to get my hands on some japanese inspired patterns and a bit afraid for the unknown I started to make them. And what can I say, I love it ! The first pieces I made are quite small (according to the slender japanese female figure), but I enlarged the patterns and will now start to make them in larger sizes.
