It is Wednesday again, so it's BUTTON DAY on my blog !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was intrigued when I first saw the Afro Button Art by Anouchka Potdevin. Anouchka tells on her blog that she works with junk.... Inspired by the Afro haircuts in the Louis Vuitton Fashion show of 2009,
she makes portrait drawings of Afro beauties on recycled canvas and forms the hair with vintage buttons. (All pictures come from Anouchka's blog)
She makes them in various formats, from 20 x 20 cm up to 100 x 100 cm, and a lot of celebrities do appear in her portraits done in ink, plastic buttons, glass and fabric.
I love the black and white effect, but I also found one she did in color, and that one looks fantastic too !
Have you seen a lovely, beautiful, stunning, crazy button or button-related thingy, or did you make something with a button / buttons, or did you even make buttons yourself, blog about it on your blog on Wednesday, and give the link here in the comments so that everybody can enjoy it !!
