It is Wednesday again, so it's BUTTON DAY on my blog. It would be great if you could do the same; make your Wednesday a button day too. Have you seen a lovely, beautiful, stunning, crazy button or button-related thingy, or did you make something with a button / buttons, or did you even make buttons yourself, blog about it on your blog on Wednesday, and give the link here via Mister Linky at the end of this post.

This week I want to show you the gorgeous wooden button I bought on the autumn market in the neighbour village. It has the most fantastic pattern and it is huge (6 cm diameter).

I always loved wooden buttons, so I gathered quite a few over the years. Some of the nicest in the mosaic above.

This Button Wednesday is about yummy buttons. Above the delicious button sandwiches from Gourmet Mom on-the-Go. She makes those sandwiches for school lunches and baby showers, but I would not mind eating them too :) She even gives a tutorial how to make them.

And then I also found some delicious button cookies from gardenmamma, and again with a tutorial; they look like heaven.

And the following cookies from minzimiu look really sweet; again with recipe.

Two weeks ago, when my family guests were staying with us, I suddenly got a parcel from Belgium. huh ??? Did I order something in Belgium ??? Not that I knew. When I opened the parcel I saw the beautiful green logo from Annemiek Hamelink and her note: "for my biggest fan". WOW. Quickly opened the little box, and then .... I saw a MOUSE :) This is the most gorgeous button I have ever seen, and it gets the most prominent place in my own button collection. It is such a cutie....

And then I also felt something under my mouse button in the box; there were even two more gorgeous pink ceramic buttons. You can imagine the happy girl I was, with my buttons and my mouse !

Annemiek has a fantastic shop on Etsy: TwoTreesBelgium, where she sells not only the most beautiful buttons, but also lovely ceramic jewelry inspired by her heritage and the most unique animal bowls.

When we went to the GP last week, I discovered a new junk shop in his street, so I went immediately in and searched for buttons.... Found some lovely ones; dark glass with painted flowers, greenish glass flowers, clear glass flowers, a large mother of pearl one, a lovely green plastic one with long oval holes, old tarnished metal edelweiss ones, fake wood ones with metal edelweiss on it, a lovely wobbely old fashioned one, etc. So happy with my new finds !
I took the pictures above on the balcony just now and it was very very windy; one of the more airborne ones flew away in the brand-new gutter.... Hubby will recover that one when it does not storm anymore :)))

The most fantastic button lamp I have ever seen. These button lights are the product of Silvia Campan from the University of Bozen at Bolzano in Italy. The fact that the light cables are an essential part of the design is ingenious !
